NEW! Heritage

Remembering where we came from and looking to the future.

A programme linking past and future, featuring Franz Schubert's famous “Arpeggione” Sonata and Erik Desimpelaere's latest Suite for Cello and Guitar.

The Arpeggione is an extinct instrument.

Six strings, a bow, frets... the marriage of a cello and a guitar. It gave its name to one of Franz Schubert's most famous pieces.

The version for guitar and cello of the Arpeggione Sonata is refreshing and allows us to rediscover it in a new light.

L'Arpeggione opens the door to the discovery of works recently composed for the Edenwood Duo, including Erik Desimpelaere's magnificent Suite for Guitar and Cello, a virtuoso piece that explores the different possibilities of these two instruments with great finesse and emotion.
